Weed Management Practices on Crop Productivity and Economics in Dry-Direct Seeded Rice under Hill and Plateau Region of Eastern India

چکیده

In direct seeded rice, weeds are the major problems limiting crop productivity. Sesbania with rice (DSR) as well seeding rates of affects weed density by smothering effect and therefore, it can be a better management practice. Two year on farm trials were conducted at Kusma, Boarijore Block Bhaluka, Sundarpahadi block Godda from 2020 2021 to assess yields economics in DSR. The results revealed that significantly lowest grasses, broad leaved (BLWs), sedges, total density, dry weight highest control efficiency recorded treatment DSR + over (pre-sowing irrigation followed tillage seeding) first post-sowing 15 DAS farmer’s Weed practice, was found higher grain yield, gross returns, net B: C ratio, production economic post sowing While practice index efficiency. Thus, basis present study is concluded i.e. could option reduced infestation improves productivity rainfed agro-ecosystem Jharkhand.

Effect of Weed Management and Seed Rate on Crop Growth under Direct Dry Seeded Rice Systems in Bangladesh

Weeds are a major constraint to the success of dry-seeded rice (DSR). The main means of managing these in a DSR system is through chemical weed control using herbicides. However, the use of herbicides alone may not be sustainable in the long term. Approaches that aim for high crop competitiveness therefore need to be exploited. One such approach is the use of high rice seeding rates. Experiment...

Response of Rice Genotypes to Weed Competition in Dry Direct-Seeded Rice in India

The differential weed-competitive abilities of eight rice genotypes and the traits that may confer such attributes were investigated under partial weedy and weed-free conditions in naturally occurring weed flora in dry direct-seeded rice during the rainy seasons of 2011 and 2012 at Ludhiana, Punjab, India. The results showed genotypic differences in competitiveness against weeds. In weed-free p...
